Ameron Will Close Wind Towers Division in Fontana, Calif., and cut 180 jobs

Ameron International Corporation will close its wind towers division in Fontana, Calif., and cut 180 jobs effective on Aug. 8, 2011.  The cuts represent about 6% of the Company's total workforce of about 2,800.

Ameron International Corporation is a multinational manufacturer of engineered products and materials for the chemical, industrial, energy, transportation and infrastructure markets. Ameron is a producer of water transmission lines and fabricated steel products, such as wind towers; fiberglass-composite pipe for transporting oil, chemicals and corrosive fluids, and specialized materials and products used in infrastructure projects.
