Thermo King Shuts Down Georgia Facility and Eliminate 235 Jobs

Thermo King Corporation will shut down its refrigeration equipment factory in Louisville, Ga., in the second quarter of 2012, affecting 235 workers.  The Company said that manufacturing operations will be moved to an existing facility in Hastings, Nebraska.

Thermo King Corporation, based in Bloomington, Minnesota, and a unit of Ingersoll Rand Company Limited, is a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems for trucks, trailers, shipboard containers and railway cars as well as HVAC systems for bus, shuttle and passenger rail applications.  Thermo King also manufactures the highly successful "TriPac" hybrid auxiliary idle reduction and temperature management system for truck cabs.
